First Toy

Betapung Tawar

Banjar’s cultural habits in welcoming the birth of a child after the loose of umbilical cord is called “Betapung Tawar”.  A tradition which every newborn have to passed before leaving home for the first time (turun tanah).

We thrown a party, a small party, just attended by close relatives on Friday morning, August 26, 2011.

And after Sholat Jumat, Raffi made his first official trip to Masjid Agung Al-Qaromah Martapura.

With all our hearts, we pray, so you become a pious child.

3 Weeks

Its been 3 weeks i’ve become a father, 3 weeks, my wife call me with “abah” and i call her  “mama”, thou sometimes we still call each other “babe” like we already did for the last 7 years.

He’s doing great, and we’re so delighted about that. He was 3,8 kg’s in his 10th days (+200 grams).

When baby is a month old :

He will perform movements which is a reflex, such as opening the mouth, looking for the nipple, sucking, and swallowing. If the cheek is touched, then he will move his head into the same direction. He is now smiling (in Raffi’s case : A lot). His eyes were directed to a specific direction such as walls or windows, for he hasn’t had a clear vision to objects in great distance. He often put his fingers n fists into mouths. He holds a proffered finger on the palm of his hand. He would cry if  hungry. Sleep constantly, and only wake up for breast-fed or bottle.

Compared to first and second weeks, Raffi is now more often awake for breast-fed, which directly impact to his mother’s sleeping hours and her physical condition as well.

Me, I just can’t stop pressing my lips n nose against his cheeks, which actually annoys him to cry. Trying so hard not to chew his chubby cheeks.

He is just adorable!

Minal aidin wal faidzin, mohon maaf lahir dan batin

I’m not sure if there’s any kind of relevance between celebrating Idul Fitri and making Resolution (things i usually do on new year’s eve) well to me it’s simply more like having a list of things i want to try and accomplish not in the very long term, just to keep my self on track, so here’s mine :

1. Gain weight to 62 Kgs.

2. Speak French.

3. Finish my Revision.

4. Complete Reading CCNA Study Guide by Todd Lammle

5. One day one verse

These are the best things i could come up with at this very moment, i surely will come with some more..

Muhammad Rafi Adz Dzaki , born August 10, 2011 (23:55 WITA) in Martapura (RSUD Ratu Zalecha)

Weighing 3.6 kg’s and 52 cm’s long by caesarean section performed by dr. Dinamika Chandra Bimantara SpOG.

We spent 7 days in hospital,  including 2 days in phototherapy box, rafi was having high bilirubin level (will have an article about that soon).

It was an amazing-exciting-exhausting week.

Seeing him for the first time, to hold him and to pray him his first Adhan, he was crying when i lifted his body then suddenly quiet when i started, eyes to eyes, i felt peace, touched and blessed.

An unforgettable moment of a life time.

Wahai Anakku sayang, pengikut Muhammad, jadilah engkau seindah junjunganmu, seindah doa kami atas namamu.

Allow Pings (ICMP Echo Request)

Sempat bingung dengan PC Desktop di ruangan yang tidak bisa diPing dari Laptop, padahal bisa di akses dengan Remote Desktop atau VNC.

Banyak yang menyarankan untuk langsug meng-off kan Firewall nya (tapi berasa kurang sreg).

Setelah googling-googling lagi, eh nemu juga, ternyata itu disebabkan karena PC Desktop men-disable icmp echo requestnya.

Caranya ternyata sangat mudah, dari Command Promt tinggal masukkan :
C:\> netsh firewall set icmpsetting 8 enable
langsung ngefek, tanpa harus di Restart lebih dulu…
